| Known Issue: Connected services unexpected errors when connecting to data using a domain name |
Description | You may encounter unexpected errors when using connected services if your data path includes a domain name, whether it's a mapped drive or a UNC path. Find the UNC path for a mapped drive - Hold down the Windows Key and R.
- Type CMD and press Enter.
- In the CMD window, type net use, then press enter.
A list of all mapped drives appears. The UNC path is in the Remote column. - Domain name example: \\sageserver.abc.local\Accounts\2024\Company.000
- UNC path example: \\sageserver\Accounts\2024\Company.000
Sage 50 Accounts v30.1 may crash when you click Reconnect using Sage account in the Manage cloud connection window and enter your Sage account credentials. |
Resolution | Workaround Remove the domain name from the data path, using either the computer name only or the IP address. To check your data path: - Back up your data.
- Click Help then click About, then note the Data Directory in the Program Details section.
- Close Sage 50 Accounts and browse to the following relevant folder to locate the COMPANY file.

- In the Open With window, select Notepad then click OK.
- Edit the data path to remove the domain name, click File then click Save.
- Click File then click Exit.
- Click File then click Save.
