Notice 24-LD | 15 Jan 2024 Sage 200 Standard and Sage 50 Payroll – Nominal LinkWe’ve identified an issue when using the nominal link between Sage 50 Payroll and Sage 200 Standard. The issue is currently under investigation, and we’ll provide updates as this progresses. What does this mean?Customers using Sage 200 Standard & Sage 50 Payroll v29.02 or higher will receive an error message when completing the nominal link process. The error is: “Could not post transactions. You should check your accounts data. If it has become corrupted, you may need to restore an accounts backup.” What are the affected software versions:- Sage 50 Payroll – Version 29.02 or later

What do I need to do?You should take note of the error, then click ok to continue, we advise that you check the nominal journals have been posted correctly within Sage 200. Our testing shows that they do post correctly, however as this error could be shown in a circumstance where there is a genuine failure, the validation of the journal postings is important.
