What to do if you see this error when posting Nominal Link from Sage 50 Payroll to Sage 200 Standard.

Description

When you post the nominal link from Sage 50 Payroll v29.02 or above to Sage 200 Standard, the following error message appears:

 NOTE: Posting your Nominal link to file is not affected by this issue.

Software update

This error is resolved in Sage 50 Payroll v30. If you haven't installed the update yet, visit our Download and install Sage 50 Payroll year end update guide to keep your software up to date.

I haven't installed the update

If you haven't updated your software yet and you've received this error, ignore the error and confirm the postings have been made in Sage 200 Standard.


Check postings

How to check for postings in Sage 200 Standard

  1. Log into Sage 200 Standard.
  2. Navigate to Nominal, then Nominal Enquiries
  3. Click Transaction audit trail list.
  4. Check this list for the Nominal Link posting in question from Sage 50 Payroll.
     TIP: If you entered a reference in Sage 50 Payroll when posting nominal link, this appears in the transaction audit trail list.

When you process your Nominal Link in Sage 50 Payroll you're presented with a summary of the journals you're about to post into Sage 200 Standard.

You can use this to compare the postings and values to those in Sage 200 Standard. 

 TIP: If you've already posted the nominal link and now can't access these values, you can run historical Nominal Link reports. Visit the nominal link reports guide for help to print these reports.
