This communication was sent 08 June 2022. Notice 22-FN | 08 June 2022 We wrote to you in 2020 in relation to our decision to withdraw support for Sage 50 Manufacturing software from 1 October 2021. In all of our messages to date, we outlined that with effect from October 2020 we would no longer test the integration of the Sage 50 Manufacturing software with any new releases of Sage 50cloud Accounts. We reached out last year to let customers know that we'd identified an issue with Sage 50 Manufacturing when Sage 50cloud Accounts v28 is installed, you can find out more here. With the upcoming release of Sage 50cloud Accounts v28.1 we’ve identified a further matter which prevents the manufacturing solution from working. On opening the program users will be presented with a message: “Could not logon to Sage 50 Accounts. The following error was returned by the Sage 50 Accounts Program”. Unfortunately, we have been unable to identify a suitable workaround and as Sage 50 Manufacturing is now retired from our product range, we are not able to resolve this issue. As a partner who may have customers using these products, we wanted to share the information with you and to let you know that we’ll be contacting customers later this week. Whilst we always recommend updating to the latest version of Sage 50cloud Accounts, at this time we strongly urge customers not to upgrade to any version higher than 27.2 if they are still using the Manufacturing software. Due to our recent communication in respect to TLS it is important that customers running Sage 50cloud Accounts v26 still upgrade, details on how to complete a v27 upgrade can be found on our installation help article. |
