How to manually sign up to 2-factor authentication (2FA)
Description
Sage 2-factor authentication adds extra security to your Sage account. Every time you log in, you need to provide a code to verify it is you.
Once you set up 2FA, you can have your Sage product remember you the next time you log in. This means you need only enter a second form of verification via passcode after 30 days.
NOTE: We recommend you always set up your own user login details rather than sharing login details, as 2FA security authenticates individual users.
Simply download the app of your choice from your App Store on iPhones or from Google Play on Android phones.
Use the authenticator app to scan the QR code, then enter the 6-digit code generated by the app and click Continue.
Record the recovery code and store in a safe location. You’ll need this code to access your account if you can't retrieve the one-time passcode from your phone.
Select the I have recorded my recovery code check box, then click Continue.
Once you've completed these steps, 2-factor authentication will activate. You will begin to receive codes to your mobile device when logging in to your product or service.
Select Verify a different way instead, at the bottom of the screen.
Select the Phone option, then ensure the Phone call box is highlighted. Enter your phone number and click Continue.
Answer the call or listen to your voicemail to hear your one-time passcode. Enter the code and click Continue.

We're unable to recommend a specific desktop authenticator. Some options may incur a charge
If you use a desktop authenticator, set up a new account in your authenticator and follow the prompts given by the app
Refer to your authenticator app developer's website for more help and information about how to add an account
Can multiple people use the same login?
Each user must have their own login credentials, with their own 2FA setup
Sharing account details with others creates a significant security risk and can lead to unauthorised access and difficulty in tracking changes made to your data
