Sage Reports and layouts only backups
Description

When you install Sage 50 Accounts, backups files containing the standard reports and layouts are also installed. You can restore these reports to refresh the default reports and layouts in your software without overwriting your data or customised documents.

Resolution

You can restore the backups from the below directory, replacing XXXX with the relevant version, for example, 2020.

'C:\ProgramData\Sage\Accounts\XXXX\DataRestores'

Alternatively, you can download the reports and layouts backups for your version.

Restore the backup file

  1. In Sage Accounts, take an all files backup.
  2. On the menu bar in Sage Accounts, click File then click Restore.
  3. Click Browse, then browse to the DataRestores folder in the location above.
  4. Click the backup file then click Open.
  5. Click OK then click Yes.
  6. Click OK, enter your logon name and password then click OK.
