Blank MTD screen when you submit VAT Return
Description

Either the HMRC online service screen is blank, or the window shows as loading for a prolonged period of time. To resolve this, refresh the Launchpad Settings.

Refresh the Launchpad Settings

  1. Close Sage Accounts and browse to C:\ProgramData\Sage\Accounts.

    NOTE:

    If you can't see ProgramData, follow our show hidden folders article.

     
  2. Locate and right-click the Launchpadsettings.xml file.
  3. Press Rename and type LaunchpadSettings.old
  4. Restart Sage Accounts, then re-open the reconciled VAT Return.
  5. Submit the VAT Return again.

Issue persists

If the issue still occurs, repair your current installation of Sage 50 Accounts.


If using Kaspersky

When using Kaspersky antivirus software, the following steps resolve this issue:
  1. Open your Kaspersky software, click the gear icon, then on the left-hand menu click General.
  2. In the list on the right, clear the Enable Self-Defense checkbox, then click Save.
  3. Right-click the green shield Kaspersky icon in the Windows system tray, click Exit, then click Continue.
  4. Press the Windows key + E then browse to C:\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab\AVPxx where xx is your software version, for example, AVP21.3.
  5. Right-click the Report folder, press Rename,  then rename the folder to OldReport.
  6. Open Kaspersky and press the gear icon.
  7. Press General, select the Enable Self-Defense checkbox, then press Save.
