When do my employees receive their welcome email?
Your employees will receive a welcome email once you upload payslips, P60s or documents. This welcome email is valid for 7 days.
How do I access the portal?

To access the portal simply click the link in-product, or visit sagepayrollservices.co.uk and login.


What information must I enter before I can upload payslips?

You must complete Online Payslips/P60s settings. Find out more>


How do I change an employee's email address?

To change an employee's email address in Online Payslips/P60s, you first need to delete them from the Online Payslips/P60s portal. You can then change their email address within Sage 50 Payroll and re-upload them to the portal. Find out more >


Can an employee be sent an email each time a payslip is published?

Yes, by default employee's will receive an email notification every time a payslip is uploaded for them. You can enable or disable this setting on the Online Payslips portal. 


Is there a character limit for company messages on the portal?

Yes, there is a 2000 character limit.


Is there a file size limit for logos on the portal?

Yes, the limit is 250 KB.

.jpe / .jpg / .jpeg / .gif / .png / .bmp / .ico / .svg / .svgz / .tif / .tiff / .ai / .drw / .pct / .psp / .xcf / .psd / .raw 


Can I view my employees' payslips online?

Yes. When you log in as an Employer, you can see exactly what your employee can see so you can help with any queries quickly and easily without the need to access your payroll software.


Can I check the payslips before we publish them?

Yes. You can upload the payslips to the portal and check them before you publish them.


Can employees log into the portal using their mobile phone or tablet device?

Yes. The Online Payslips/P60s portal is supported on mobile devices, so employees can access their payslips wherever they are 24/7.


Can I upload my payslips again, if I make a mistake?

Yes. You need to firstly reprocess and correct any mistakes in your payroll. Once this is done, you can upload the payslips as normal to the portal. As long as the same process date has been used, the new payslips will replace the old ones with any of the corrections made. 


What if I forget my password?

If you forget your Sage ID password, you can reset it:

  1. Visit my.sage.co.uk
  2. Enter your Sage account email address and click Continue.
  3. Click Forgot your password, and follow the on-screen instructions.

What if my employee doesn't receive their welcome email or reset password email?
Ensure that:

If you need the welcome email to be resent, you can resend this from the online portal.


What if my employee hasn't received their email to advise their payslip is ready?

Ensure that:

The employee doesn't need the email to access their payslip. They can log in to the portal as normal at www.sage.co.uk/employeepayslips


Why can't I use a single email address for two separate employees when uploading payslips online?

For data protection, employees must have a different email address to others within your Payroll. If you have two employee records with the same email address and upload their payslips to the Online Payslips/P60s portal, the following message appears:

'EMPLOYEE NAME has a duplicate email address of EMAIL ADDRESS. This record requires attention.'

This occurs if two records use the same email address, and often occurs if you re-employ an employee. Find out more


What if an employee can't login to view their payslips?

Ensure that your employee has activated their account using the link in their Welcome email. If they haven't, refer them back to their Welcome email.

If they've previously been able to log in, ask them to reset their password before trying to log in again. If they're redirected to the login screen without receiving an error, ask them to try using a different computer to log in.


Can I add my company information to the portal?

Yes. We've designed the portal so you can add your contact information. You can also add your company logo and add messages for your employees to display when they log in to the portal.


Can I customise or change the online payslip layout?

Can employees still access their payslips if they leave the company?

If an employee leaves your company, they can still view their payslips until you remove the employee from the portal. You should ensure that they have enough time to print them for their records before you delete the employee.


What if an employee leaves the company and then rejoins?

If an employee leaves your business, we recommend you delete them from the online portal, then in Sage 50 Payroll remove the email address from the original employee record. When you create a new employee record and enable Online Payslips/P60s the employee receives a new welcome email. Read more


How do I know that my employee's details are kept secure?

Any information you send from Sage 50 Payroll to the Online Payslips/P60s service is secured by Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). The connectivity used by the Sage Online Services also complies to ISO 27001. Read more


Can I restrict access to certain employees / groups / departments / pay frequencies?

Restrictions can be added in Sage 50 Payroll to different groups of employees, however it is not currently possible to do this on the online portal. It has been added to our product roadmap as a future improvement.


If I cancel my subscription, will employees still be able to access their payslips?

When you cancel your subscription, the payslips portal will no longer be accessible by yourselves or your employees.
