Align your payslips

If the information on your payslips doesn't align correctly to your stationery, you may need to amend the printer offsets, paper size or printer driver.

Cause
Resolution

Enter the correct printer and paper size settings

  1. Select the payslip layout you want to amend, then click Edit.
  2. Click File then click Page Setup.
  3. Click Printer then, from the drop-down list, click the required printer.
  4. Click Properties then set the correct paper size. If you're not sure where to change the paper size for your printer, speak with your IT support.
  5. Click OK, then click OK.
  6. Click Report then click Report Properties.
  7. Enter a new title and description for the report.
  8. Click File then click Save As.
  9. Browse to the required location for your payslip layout, for example PayslipsLaser, OR PayslipsDotmatrix.
  10. Enter a new file name for your payslip layout then click Save then click File then click Exit.

If the payslip still does not print correctly, refer to the next section.


Change the printer offsets

  1. Select the payslip layout you want to use, then click Preview.
  2. Click Printer Offsets.
  3. Click Options,then select Millimeter from the Measurement drop-down.
  4. Click Printer Offsets and check the correct printer is selected.
  5. Amend the report-specific offsets.
    Move the printing up Decrease the top offset. To do this, use the keyboard to enter the value you want to use, or use the arrow buttons to change the value.
    Move the printing down Increase the top offset. To do this, use the keyboard to enter the value you want to use, or use the arrow buttons to change the value.
    Move the printing to the right Increase the left offset. To do this, use the keyboard to enter the value you want to use, or use the arrow buttons to change the value.
    Move the printing to the left Decrease the left offset. To do this, use the keyboard to enter the value you want to use, or use the arrow buttons to change the value.
  6. Click Close then click Yes.

Further troubleshooting

If your payslips still do not print correctly, you may need to install a different printer driver.

If you find that after aligning the first payslip on the sheet, the second payslip still needs adjustment, you can edit the payslip and change the position of the second payslip.
