You'll see this error if something prevents the submission of the return, and the messaging system between the calling application and HMRC's servers has broken down, or is temporarily unavailable. The processing of the document has failed and you need to re-submit.
- Check that the computer you are filing from has Internet access and that a firewall is not blocking access to the Internet for Sage Control Centre.
- Re-submit the return.
You may have to wait for up to one hour before you re-submit.
