Submission errors

There are two types of error that the Government Gateway can return:

• Errors relating to the submission process and why it failed
• Errors relating to the data in your submission and why it failed

Can I submit P11Ds where values are zero?

It's not possible to submit zero value P11D forms using your software.

If you try to submit a P11D with no values, an error appears.

Can I resend an incorrect submission?

HMRC only accepts one submission from a PAYE reference.

This means if you submit a P11D that's incorrect, you can't re-submit it using your software.
