Known issue resolved: 'Average earnings too low' message appearing since installing v32

Created on  | Last modified on

Summary

Information on this message appearing unexpectedly in Sage 50 Payroll v32.00.297.

Description

When you open an employee record or Enter Payments in v32.00.297, the following message sometimes appears unexpectedly:

'Average earnings too low.'

This appears even if you haven't processed any recent statutory parental or sick pay.

Resolution

This message appeared if there’s any sickness absence in the employee's absence diary that didn't qualify for payment.

NOTE:

For example, the period of sickness was less than four days, or the average earnings were below the threshold at the time of the absence.

This type of absence appears in the absence diary as the letter A in red. Any instance of the letter A in your absence diary in any tax year caused this issue.
