About auto-categorisation for bank transactions

Summary

Understand how auto-categorisation works in Sage Sole Trader and why it helps you process transactions faster.

Description

Watch our video:

Auto-categorisation uses Sage Copilot to review new bank transactions from bank feeds and imported statements.

Copilot analyses transaction details and matches them to similar past transactions.

It predicts the most suitable category.

If Copilot has high confidence, it assigns a category and moves the transaction to Completed. When Copilot has low confidence, it leaves the transaction in Draft for you to review.

You can open any completed transaction and change the category if needed.

Auto-categorisation only applies to new transactions after Sage processes them.
