Understand auto-categorisation limits
Description

Sage Copilot auto-categorises a limited number of transactions each month on the free plan.

Each transaction Copilot categorises counts towards your monthly limit. This includes transactions from your bank feeds and imported statements.

If you manually categorise a transaction, it doesn’t count towards your limit.

If you edit a transaction after Copilot categorises it, it still counts towards your monthly limit.

Editing the transaction doesn’t use another credit from your limit. However, after you edit it, Sage removes the indicators that show Copilot auto-categorised it.

When you reach the limit, Copilot stops categorising new transactions. New transactions stay in Draft until you review and categorise them.

Your limit resets automatically on the first day of each month. After the reset, Copilot starts categorising your new transactions again.

Unused transactions don't carry over to the next month.

To continue using auto-categorisation without limits, upgrade your plan.
