Enter your Corporation Tax Reference (CTR) for submissions

Summary

Information on how Sage 50 Payroll uses the CTR in submissions, and how to enter it.

Description

With Sage 50 Payroll, you can submit an Employer Payment Summary (EPS) to let HMRC know about amounts you're reclaiming. This includes Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) deductions you've suffered.

From the 2022/23 tax year onwards, HMRC only accept EPS submissions reporting CIS suffered if you include your 10 digit CTR.

NOTE: If you don't have a CTR, for example due to your company status, follow the submit CIS suffered without a CTR article.

Resolution

  1. Log into your company as normal in Sage 50 Payroll.
  2. Go to Company then Settings.
  3. Go to the HMRC Payments tab.
  4. Enter the reference in the Corporation Tax Reference field.
  5. Select OK to save your changes.

You can now submit an EPS to report CIS suffered.
