To enhance the security of your Sage account, we've changed how you log in to Sage HR or Sage Employee Online Services.
After entering your email address and password and clicking Log in, you may receive a code by email to verify it's you logging in.
If you're asked to enter a code, check the email inbox for the email address it is sent to. This email contains a 6-digit code that you need to enter on the Verify your email address screen, to complete the login process.

NOTE: If your employer has enabled 2-factor authentication (2FA) for their Sage company, you already have extra security on your login. You won't receive an email verification code. Instead, log in as normal using your 2FA method.
If you haven't received the code when trying to log in, click Resend code at the bottom of the Verify your email address page.
Allow up to 10 minutes to receive this code.
If you still don't receive the code, check your junk/spam folder and ensure your email security doesn't block [email protected].
Contact your employer if the issue persists. They can investigate this further with Sage support.
If you enter the code, but it's not accepted, this can be because of the following reasons:
Click Resend code, and make sure to enter this new code.
TIP: Don't close or refresh the login screen when navigating to your emails. This will trigger a new code to be sent which will make the previos code invalid.
If you're repeatedly sent new codes this will either be because:
NOTE: If you're on a phone, and clicked a link on a welcome email or payslip notification, this may open up a page within your email app, which you'll have to close to access your email verificaton code. Make sure to open the link in a seperate browser.
If you receive an email from [email protected] with a 6-digit code but you aren't trying to log in, change your password immediately. This is the password you use to log in to Sage HR or Sage Employee Online Services.
You can do this by using the forgot password option on the login screen. We also recommend you inform your employer so they can investigate this further with Sage support. For help with resetting your password, follow the relevant guide below:
This process doesn't occur every time you log in. It only appears when you log in using a different device for the first time, or at intervals since the last time you logged in.
This security feature is mandatory, and you can't switch it off.
However, you may not be prompted to do this every time you log in. Your admin user can also enable 2FA so you can authenticate using an authenticator app on your phone, or code sent by text or call instead.
