Each person using your data in Sage for Accountants needs their own Sage ID. This boosts data security and lets you control what your colleagues can view and access within the platform.

Do things look different?
We updated user settings to improve access control and let your users complete tasks previously restricted to the business owner.
Existing users will have the same access roles as before, unless you edit their role.
Add a new user
Add a new practice user to access GoProposal and/or AutoEntry. Only users with the Business Owner or Administrator role in Client Management can perform this action.
- Go to your business name, then select Manage Users.
- Select Add User.
- Enter the new users email address.
- Select the Product and the Role from the drop-down options.

You can only have one role per product. - Select the preferred language for the user.
- Select Add to complete adding the user.
- The new user will receive an email inviting them to join your business. They just need to select the link and fill in their details.
View and Edit a user
View your users and edit their roles as needed. You can't change the Business Owner role. Only users with the Business Owner or Administrator role in Client Management can perform this action.
- Go to your business name, then select Manage Users. When you are on the Manage Users section, you can view all your current users.
- Select the relevant user, or search using the search box.
- Select the Role to see what the user can do.
- If you need to change their role, select Edit user.
You can only have one role per product. - Make the changes.
NOTE: If you require an email address change, find out how to Update your email address.
- Select Save.
NOTE: The user must log out for the changes to take effect.
