What to do if you see this error when using Salary and Supplier Payments (SASP) in Sage 50 Payroll.

Description

When you try to access Salary Payments within Sage 50 Payroll, sometimes the following error appears:

'[Employee name] not submitted: The remote server returned an error: (401)...' Unauthorised'

Resolution

To resolve this error, delete some browsing data and the contents of a related folder.

First, follow our clear cache, cookies and temporary Internet files article for your Internet browser.

Next, delete the contents of the Isolated Storage folder:

  1. Close Sage 50 Payroll.
  2. Browse to C:\Users\[PC USERNAME]\AppData\Local\.
  3. Find the folder named IsolatedStorage and double-click it to open this folder.
  4. Delete any files and folders in here.

You can now log in to Payroll as normal and try Salary Payments again after this.
