Summary

Information included on pay run reports in Sage Payroll.

Resolution

After each completed pay run you can generate a series of reports. These include:

  • Employee Net Pay
  • View and download payments employees are due to be paid over the pay period.
  • Payslip Summary
  • View and download a summary of information as seen on the employee's payslip including payments and deductions.
  • Employer Costs
  • View and download a summary of employer cost per employee to see how much your payroll is costing you.
  • Liability Totals
    A breakdown of amounts due to HMRC.

Here's what information each report includes:

Employee Net Pay

This report can be used to view and download payments employees are due to be paid over the pay period. All payments and deductions are taken into account leaving a net pay figure due to employees. This report contains the information needed to set up bank payments for employee wages.

  • Employee
  • Payment Type
  • Net Pay

Payslip Summary

This report provides a summary of information as seen on the employee's payslip. It includes gross and statutory pay by employee as well as any deductions, and a net pay calculation. This report can be used to reconcile the net pay values shown on the Employee Net Pay report.

  • Deductions before Tax
  • PAYE Tax
  • EE NIC
  • Voluntary Deductions
  • Non-Tax Payments
  • Net Pay

Employer Costs

This report provides a summary of employer cost per employee so you can see how much your payroll is costing you. It shows payments made to the employee, employer contributions to pension and NI and a total cost per employee. This report is useful for budgeting and forecasting purposes.

Liability Totals

This report shows a breakdown of liabilities for each employee. The report can be used to reconcile the values against your P32 liabilities.
