How to enter your duties start date in Sage Payroll.
The Pensions Regulator (TPR) is a public body set up by the government to regulate workplace pensions. They write to all employers to let you know when your duties start date.

Before entering your duties start date
To enter your duties start date:
- Select the Summary tab.
- In the Auto Enrolment / Pensions section on the right, select Setup pensions.
- Enter the duties start date you received from TPR.
- Select Set duties start date.
After entering your duties start date
â–¼Before reaching your duties start date The Summary tab shows a countdown until your duties start. If you need to edit your duties start date, select Amend.


NOTE: You must set up a pension before you can process a pay run or apply postponement
â–¼Reaching your duties start date You will see two options on the Summary screen. Postpone Auto Enrolment and Amend duties start date.
Only use these options if required.


CAUTION: Ensure the option you choose is right before processing a pay run. You won't be able to change it later.
