How to enter your duties start date in Sage Payroll.
The Pensions Regulator (TPR) is a public body set up by the government to regulate workplace pensions. They write to all employers to let you know when your duties start date.
Starting a new company and don't know your duties start date? You can check it on TPR website at thepensionsregulator.gov.
Before entering your duties start date
To enter your duties start date:
- Select Summary from the menu bar.
- In the Auto Enrolment / Pensions section on the right, select Setup pensions.
- Enter the duties start date you received from TPR.
- Select Set duties start date.
After entering your duties start date
▼Before reaching your duties start date The Summary tab shows a countdown until your duties start. If you need to edit your duties start date, select Amend.


NOTE:
Set up a pension before you can process a pay run or apply postponement.
▼Reaching your duties start date You’ll see two options on the Summary screen. Postpone Auto Enrolment and Amend duties start date.
Only use these options if required.


CAUTION:
Ensure the option you choose is right before processing a pay run. You won't be able to change it later.
