In Sage HR Online Services there are employee details that you can manually amend, but there are some locked fields that you can't. Examples of locked fields include an employee's start date or date of birth. To update these details we recommend you amend them in Sage 50 Payroll, then upload the employee's payslips.
If uploading payslips doesn't work to update these amended locked fields, you can use an import template to reimport their amended details.
Let's run through how to do this below.
TIP: There are some fake employees already listed in this template. These are just to give examples of what should be entered.
CAUTION: If you use the Sage HR modules such as Core HR and Leave Management, you must make sure all relevant fields are filled in. For example, if the employee currently has an Employment status, but you leave the Employment status column blank in the template, when you re-import the employee their employment status is removed.
NOTE: You can leave the employee's password blank, as they will already have one set up. Click the dropdown next to Add employee, then click Import employees.
Once done, the corrected details now show for the re-imported employee in their profile.
