Sage 200 and MFA

Notice 22-DU | 12 January 2022

Dear Partner,

As part of our recent update to the Sage Provisioning Portal (SPP) we’re delighted to announce that Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) can now be activated by users of Sage 200 Standard and Sage for Education.

Information on how to activate MFA it is available here.

To reflect this change, we have also be updated our Security FAQ which is available here.

Further to the communication we sent to you in October which contained important information surrounding the guidance, use and parameters that must be followed when using the Sage Provisioning Portal. We wanted to remind you of a key element:

"Authorised Users must be individually named, with individual email addresses – two or more users must not share email addresses and login information, as outlined in our Product Terms and helpfiles."

Important Information:

If the Authorised users are not in line with security/licensing requirements, i.e., individual login information must not be shared, then where MFA has been activated, as it requires a text or email confirmation from the login owner then this may not be readily available to a shared user.
