Setting up and removing 2-factor authentication in the Sage Provisioning Portal

Created on  | Last modified on

Summary

This guide explains how to set up and remove 2-factor authentication in the Sage Provisioning Portal which is used to manage Sage products such as Sage 200 Standard/Education and Sage 200 Professional.

Description

NOTE: Once 2-factor Authentication is set up, it applies to any product you use these logins for. For example, if you use Sage 200 Standard, once enabled, you will be prompted for a code when logging in.

Two-factor authentication requires an additional passcode to access your account. This passcode will be accessed via your mobile device and you need to enter this to complete your log in. The passcode changes every time you log in.

This means your account is secure, even if your email address and password are accidentally shared.

TIP: The setup will require an Authenticator app to be used such as Google Authenticator. To avoid issues, make sure you have this installed on your mobile device prior to setup.
