Remove employees who reappeared after updating your Online Services

In Sage HR Online Services, if some employees have reappeared as active employees after your recent Online Services update, it's possible to remove them. All you need to do is terminate their record.

We'll run through these steps with you together.

The easiest way to terminate someone in Sage HR Online Services is individaully via their employee profile - Click here to view steps >

1. Log in to Sage HR Online Services.

2. Go to the relevant employee's profile.
   
   You can get to their profile via the Company tab on the main menu or you can search for them using the search bar on the top left.
   
   
   
   
   
   

3. When the profile opens, by default you are on the Employee tab of the profile menu. Scroll down to the bottom of the page.

4. Bottom right, click Terminate.
   
   

5. Enter a last working day date, then select 

   a reason.
   If you're going to later delete the employee record, the date or reason you select doesn't matter but you must select a reason and the date must be before today.
   
   
   
   

6. If required, enter any additional comments.

7. Click Terminate.

The employee will no longer show as active on your company directory and will be in your terminated employees report.

TIP: If you need to terminate over 25 employees, you can terminate multiple employees using an import template.

Do I need to delete employees too?
