What is Remote Data Access?

Created on  | Last modified on

Summary

How to use Remote Data Access (RDA) to run your Sage 50 Accounts remotely.

Description

RDA is a cloud service that securely shares your company data, allowing access from anywhere, including at home.

Benefits include:

  • Accessing data remotely for flexible working
  • Collaborate easily with colleagues and your accountant
  • Set up users and manage their access

TIP: Watch a webinar recording that covers requirements, set up, FAQs and more.

How it works

The cloud securely shares your company data, allowing RDA users to connect from their own computers with Sage 50 Accounts installed. Your server or computer still stores your data, not the cloud.

When to use

Use RDA when working away from your main location, like the office, or when working from home.

RDA or network?

If everyone works in the same location, such as the office with computers on the same network, use your network instead of RDA.  Using RDA on a network with shared data, can result in data loss or corruption.
