How to use the Supplier refund option in Sage 50 Accounts.
Record a supplier refund
- Go to Bank accounts.
- Select the bank account to receive the money into.
- On the tool bar, select Supplier refund.
- Complete the boxes as required:
- Ensure the correct Bank A/C is selected
- Select the correct Account in the Supplier Details section
- Enter the Date of the refund in the Refund Details section
- Enter the refund amount. Enter this in the Amount field or Amount column next to the credit note
If required, you can Allocate a supplier refund to a credit note later.
- Once the boxes are complete, click Save.
- If you don't allocate the refund to a purchase credit, you'll see this message:
'There is an unallocated refund of [insert amount] do you want to post an unallocated refund?', click Yes.
This refund now appears as a PR on your supplier activity.
