Single database submissions
This is already compliant for single database submissions.
All you need to do for single database submissions is check the flags in the Nominal Ledger settings. To do this:
Go to Nominal Ledger, Utilities, Ledger Set Up, Ledger Settings, and choose the VAT Submissions tab. Ensure the check boxes for Enable online VAT Submissions and also Submit as a digital record as part of Making Tax Digital have been selected
Multiple database submissions
To submit multiple companies with the same tax registration you need to download a new module which is included as part of your support contract.
- Customers - please contact your Business Partner for further information.
- Business Partners - please contact your account manager or our Channel Sales Support Team to arrange for the module to be added to the customers registration.
If you need to use the Excel functionality with the Sage MTD module, please mention this in your communication.

Once you have the new module, training is available at Sage University. Each person will receive an email with a unique code to allow access to the Sage University.
