Sage software and 32-bit or 64-bit installations of Microsoft Office

The type of Office installation you use affects the Microsoft integration features available to you in your Sage software.

Your Sage software can integrate with Microsoft Office to make these features possible. However, your version of Office impacts compatibility, specifically whether it's 32-bit or 64-bit.

Email documents and reports via Microsoft Outlook

You can email documents from your Sage software in either 32-bit or 64-bit installations of Microsoft Outlook.

Other Microsoft integration options

To take advantage of these features, you must use a 32-bit installation of Microsoft Office. 64-bit installations are not compatible with Sage 50 Accounts and Sage 50 Payroll.

The features subject to this are:

• Microsoft Integration options within the File menu
• Excel Integrated Reporting (EIR)

Although these features may occasionally work with 64-bit installations, we cannot troubleshoot issues experienced when running incompatible versions of Office.
