How to Recalculate Departmental Actuals

This article explains how to recalculate departmental actual values for Budgeting purposes in Sage 50 Accounts.

Description

If you use Budgeting and Departments in Sage 50 Accounts, if the values become misaligned, either due to complexity or data corruption you can recalculate the departmental actual values to realign them with the data.

Resolution

CAUTION: Do NOT run if you have cleared your Audit Trail AND the clear audit trail date is within your current financial year. 

  1. Take a backup of your data. 
  2. Click onto Settings and Company Preferences, you may be asked for your password. 
  3. Click onto the budgeting tab.
  4. Click Recalculate. 

This only appears when you change your budgeting method.
