Check data error/warning - 'Project (Project Reference) Actual Cost is (amount) less / greater than total in project transactions'

When you check your data you may get the following error or warning:

'Project (Project Reference) Actual Cost is (amount) less / greater than total in project transactions'

To correct this error or warning, please follow the steps below.

1. Click File then click Maintenance and click  Recovery Tools.
2. When prompted, follow the instructions to create a data backup.
3. Click Recalculate Project History, then click OK and click Close.
   
   The project audit trail is renumbered when you run this process.
   
   
4. When prompted to check the data again, click Yes.
   
   If still showing as an error, you must restore an error free backup and re-process.
   
   If still showing as a warning, you can continue however, if possible, we would recommend you restore an error free backup and re-process.
   
   
5. Click Close then click Close.
