Data corruption warning and corruption banner appear but check data shows no errors
Description

When using Sage 50 Accounts on a network, if you fix Check data errors on a computer other than the one that stores your data, other users still see a data corruption warning when opening the software.

They also see an alert banner advising of data corruption, even though the data has been repaired.

Don't worry, this is easy to fix.

Cause
Resolution

You can resolve this by following the steps below:

  1. To clear the alert banner, open Sage 50 Accounts on the server computer and log in as manager.
  2. Click File, click Maintenance then click Check Data.
  3. If a message appears advising that there are no errors, click OK.
  4. In the File Maintenance Problems Report, click Errors, click Close, then click Close.

Once your next scheduled backup has ran, users will no longer see the data corruption warning when they open the software.
