How to cancel or stop recording the accountant link

  NOTE: This feature is no longer available in Sage 50 Accounts v29.0 and above. To add your accountant you'll need to use Remote Data Access and set up an Accountant user.

When you send a request for an Accountant link to your accountant, the message Recording appears red on your status bar.

If you decide you want to cancel the request, you can turn this off.

1. On the menu bar click View then click Material Changes.
   
   

   NOTE: This option is only available if you've exported your data using Accountant link. If you can't see this option, follow the steps to set up the Accountant link then retry. 

2. To cancel the request, click Cancel and then click Yes.
   
   

   Recording no longer appears on your status bar.

If you need to cancel the Accountants Link in order to set up Remote Data Access but you can't see a Material Changes option, follow the steps to set up the Accountant link then retry the steps above.
