Article explains how to update the Reverse Product Explosion report in Sage 50 Accounts.
Description
The Reverse Product Explosion report lists each product that is a component of another product through the bill of materials. For each component product it shows which main products it's linked to.
NOTE: The report is only available in the Additional Reports Backup.
If you need to run this report for only a specific component stock code, you must first edit the report and replace the existing criteria with new criteria.
Resolution
Step 1 - Edit the report
- Select the Reverse Product Explosion Report, then click Edit.
- On the menu bar click Report, click Report Properties.
- Enter a new report name and description, then click OK.
Step 2 - Add the new criteria
- Click Report, then click Criteria.
- Select the Show Disabled check box.
- Select STOCK_CAT, then click Remove, then click Yes.
- Select STOCK_CODE, then click Remove, then click Yes.
- Click New Criteria, then click COMPONENT from the first drop-down list.
- Select STOCK_CODE from the second drop-down list.
- Click OK.
- In the Criterion name field, enter STOCK_CODE.
- Click OK, then click OK.
- In the Page Header 2 section delete the following:
- Category From: text box
- Category To: text box
- CRITERIA.STOCK_CAT_FROM variable
- CRITERIA.STOCK_CAT_TO variable
Step 3 - Save the report
- On the menu bar click File, then click Save As.
- Enter a new file name then click Save.
- On the menu bar click File, then click Exit
When you run the new report you can specify the component stock code you need.
