How to run Aged debtors reports in Sage 50 Accounts.

Description

You can run Aged debtors reports to view outstanding balances on your customer accounts. This helps you to chase debt and track amounts owed to your business.

Resolution

Run an Aged debtors report

  1. Go to Customers, then select Reports.
  2. Select Aged debtors, then click the report you want to run:
    • Summary - Shows one line per account with the total outstanding amount for the period
    • Detailed - Shows the individual outstanding transactions that make up the total balance for each account. This shows transactions grouped by customer
    • Drillable - A summary report, with the option to drill down into each figure for further detail
    • Contacts - Shows summary information, along with the account contact name and telephone number
  3. Click Preview and complete the criteria window:
    • Cust Ref - Select a range of customer records. You can leave this blank to run the report for all records
    • Transaction DateThe date range of the transactions that makes up the report
    • Inc Future Tran - Includes any invoices, credits or payments on account that were outstanding after the report date. To include future paid transactions after the report to date, select the Exc Later Payments option
    • Exc Later Payments - Includes any outstanding invoices, credits or payments on account at the report date. Select this option when you run the report retrospectively

 


Run the report retrospectively

To see the outstanding transactions at a particular date, select the Exc Later Payments checkbox when completing the criteria window.
