How to register Sage 50 Payroll

To register your software online, you first of all need to create a login on the Sage website. This allows you to register software, view your Sage account information, download software and updates and access support.

If you've not yet created one, you can create a My Sage login.

Register online

Once you've set up your My Sage login and have your serial number to hand, you can register. You can find the serial number on your confirmation email.

1. Go to my.sage.co.uk.
2. Enter your email address and select Continue. 
3. Enter your password and select Log In.
4. Go to Software, then select Registration centre.
5. Enter your Serial number and Email. 
6. Click Register.

Obtain your new key

1. Go to my.sage.co.uk.
2. Enter your email address and select Continue. 
3. Enter your password and select Log In.
4. Select View your active Sage products, then the serial number for the relevant software.

This displays the activation key, and any relevant licence details. For example, the number of users, employees and companies.

Enter your full key

1. In Sage 50 Payroll, select Tools, then Upgrade Program.
2. In the New Key box, enter the new activation key.
3. Select Continue, then OK.

You've now registered your software and can continue to process your payroll as normal.
