Description
Printer offsets are perfect to help align your design to your pre-printed stationery. If you get a new printer then a small alignment may be needed to match your new printer driver.
Resolution
TIP: Sometimes it is easier to set all the values to Zero, then print off a new copy and add offsets based on that new print off.
- Select the document you wish to edit, then click Preview.
- Preview the report or layout you want to amend, then click Printer Offsets.
NOTE: By default, all measurements in the Printer Offsets window appear in inches. To change the measurements to millimetres click Options, then in the Measurement drop-down list select Millimeter.
- Amend the Report-specific offsets as follows:
To move the printing up Decrease the top offset. |Use the keyboard to enter the value you want to use, or use the arrow buttons to change the value. To move the printing down Increase the top offset. Use the keyboard to enter the value you want to use, or use the arrow buttons to change the value. To move the printing to the right Increase the left offset. Use the keyboard to enter the value you want to use, or use the arrow buttons to change the value. To move the printing to the left Decrease the left offset. Use the keyboard to enter the value you want to use, or use the arrow buttons to change the value. NOTE: We recommend only altering the Report specific options to control the current alignment task.
- Click OK.
- If the document prints correctly click Close.
- When prompted to save the changes, click Yes.
- If required, repeat steps 1 to 3 until you are happy with the alignment.
