Generating documents

There are many ways to generate a report in Sage 50 Accounts. Let's take a look at the different ways you can run your reports and layouts.

Preview a document

  1. Select the required document you want, for example an invoice layout.
  2. To preview the document on-screen, click Preview.

Print a document

  1. Select the required document you want, for example an invoice layout.
  2. To preview the document on-screen, click Preview.
  3. Once you've checked your report or layout, click Print. 

You can also print quotations, orders, invoices and credits with just one click using the Quick Print feature.


Email a document

Before emailing a document, you should apply the correct email settings.

  1. Select the required document you want, for example an invoice layout.
  2. To preview the document on-screen, click Email.

You can also email quotations, orders, invoices and credits with just one click using the Quick Email feature.


Save a document

  1. Select the required document you want, for example an invoice layout.
  2. To preview the document on-screen, click Export.
  3. Save your document to the required directory, selecting a file name and file type, for example CSV or PDF.


Send your document to Microsoft Excel

  1. Select the required document you want, for example an invoice layout.
  2. To preview the document on-screen, click either Report to Excel, or Data to Excel.

Microsoft OneDrive

If you've set up Microsoft Office 365 integration, you can send copies of your documents to Microsoft OneDrive automatically as you print or email them.
