Check you're on the main computer

NOTE: If you don't use Sage Drive you don't need to follow this step.

  1. Click Help then click About.
  2. Under Sage Drive information, check the Site value. This will tell you if you're at the main site or a remote site.

    If the Site is showing as N/A, then you don't use Sage Drive. Please continue.



Back up your data at the main site

  1. Click File, then click Back up.
  2. To check your data, click Yes and click OK, then click Close and click Close again.

    If you have any errors in your data, to fix them please visit sage.co.uk/mydata

  3. Click Browse and browse to where you want to save your backup, then click OK.
  4. Click OK, then click OK again.



Update the computer that holds your data

At the main site, download and install your software on the computer that holds your data.

NOTE: If your data is held on a computer or server that doesn't have a full Sage Accounts installation you must download and install the

, on that computer instead.





Download Sage 50 Accounts v27

  1. To download Sage 50 Accounts v27, click the link below:

  2. If prompted to save the file, note the file name, then click Save.

    Depending on your web browser, the file may automatically save to your Downloads folder. To view your Downloads folder, press Ctrl + J on your keyboard.

Update all other computers at the main site

On all other computers at the main site, follow the same steps above to download and install your software.


Convert your data

Once installed, open each company in Sage 50 Accounts v27 to convert your data.

 NOTE: In Sage 50 Accounts v27 and above the number of permitted password characters has increased from 10 to 32. In earlier versions, only the first 10 characters of your password were read by the software. When entering your password in version 27 after upgrading, please ensure you only enter the first 10 characters. 


Update all remote computers

If you use Sage Drive, on all Sage Drive remote sites, follow the same steps above to download and install your software.
