Back up your data

  1. In Sage 50 Accounts, click File, then click Back up.
  2. To check your data, click Yes and click OK, then click Close and click Close again.  Find out more about checking your data >

    If you have any errors in your data, to fix them please visit sage.co.uk/mydata

  3. Select the checkbox to Select all file types to include in backup.

  4. Click Browse and browse to where you want to save your backup, then click OK.
  5. Click OK, then click OK again.

Download Sage 50 Accounts v27

  1. To download Sage 50 Accounts v27, click the link below:

  2. If prompted to save the file, note the file name, then click Save.

    Depending on your web browser, the file may automatically save to your Downloads folder. To view your Downloads folder, press Ctrl + J on your keyboard.

NOTE: If your data is held on another computer, for example a server, you must also download and install the full software, or

Convert your data

Once installed, open each company in Sage 50 Accounts v27 to convert your data.

 NOTE: In Sage 50 Accounts v27 and above the number of permitted password characters has increased from 10 to 32. In earlier versions, only the first 10 characters of your password were read by the software. When entering your password in version 27 after upgrading, please ensure you only enter the first 10 characters.
