Remote Data Access - Passphrase

When you need the Remote Data Access encryption passphrase in Sage 50 Accounts, and how to check what it is.

Description

In Sage 50 Accounts, as part of the process to set up Remote Data Access you're prompted to enter a passphrase.

When you need this and how to check what it is, depends on if you're the data owner or not.

You need this passphrase when you give other users Remote Data Access to your data.

Log in as MANAGER, click Settings.
Click Remote Data Access Settings and click Show Password/Passphrase.

NOTE: Remote Data Access Settings is available on the Settings menu, once you've set it up. Find information on how to set up Remote Data Access.
Enter your login details and click OK.

TIP: You don't need to change the passphrase once you've set it up.

You need this passphrase when you're invited to access to use Remote Data Access.

The person who invited you to access their data can tell you the passphrase.
