Description
In Sage 50 Accounts, as part of the process to set up Remote Data Access you're prompted to enter a passphrase.
When you need this and how to check what it is, depends on if you're the data owner or not.
I'm the data owner > When do you need this passphrase?
You need this passphrase when you give other users Remote Data Access to your data.
How to check what the passphrase is
- Log in as MANAGER, click Settings.
- Click Remote Data Access Settings and click Show Password/Passphrase.
NOTE: Remote Data Access Settings is only available on the Settings menu once you have set up Remote Data Access. For more information on Remote Data Access and how to set it up - Read more >
- Enter your login details and click OK.
TIP: The passphrase doesn't need to be changed once it has been set up.
I'm not the data owner > When do you need this passphrase?
You need this passphrase when you've been invited to access to use Remote Data Access.
How to check what the passphrase is
The person who invited you to access their data can tell you the passphrase.
