Restore your payroll data
Description

You can restore payroll data if you have previously reset it. This is because it's not possible to take manual backups.

Restoring the data will overwrite your current payroll data.  It returns you to the point immediately before you chose the Reset data option.

NOTE:

You can only restore back to the most recent time you reset the data. You can't select a specific period to restore back to.

To restore

  1. Select Settings from the menu bar.
  2. From the Personalisation section, select Data Management.
  3. Select Restore Data.
  4. Enter the email address you use to sign in, then select Restore Data.

No option to restore

You can't restore data from another Sage service such as Sage 50.

You can't restore data if you’ve changed your subscription or plan.

For example:

  • You can’t restore data created in Accounting into Accounting Start
  • You can't restore payroll data if you change subscriptions between reset and restore

Although you can’t restore from a previous service, you can still reset your new service and start again.
