This communication was sent 5th March 2025. Notice 25-QZ | 05 Mar 2025 Sage 200 Professional older versions & MTD Bridge Dear Partner, Sage is committed to keeping our customers secure. Making sure we reduce threats and take advantage of the latest technology. Meaning, from time to time, we need to upgrade the underlying components of our products and systems. We are working through a program of activities that will lead to: - The retirement of our licence generation system for Sage 200 Professional customers, both live, historical and Test & Recovery, who are on Version 4 up to and including Version 2011.
- Migration of Making Tax Digital licences to subscription.
All partners who currently have live or historical customers with these versions were invited to a call on 04 March to discuss this in more detail. For the Sage 200 MTD Bridge, we issued a communication on 27 February 2025. Actions required Over the course of today you will be sent your customer lists; the priority is to fully review this and feedback to Sage by Wednesday 12 March. The lists contain notes but also a drop-down option to select from. There are 4 lists to check: - Live
- Historical
- Test & Recovery
- Sage 200 MTD Bridge
We’ve prepared 2 Partner FAQs to support you with this, they will continue to evolve as we work through this program of work. Please take the time to review these and share with your teams. Note: If you do not receive a list, or your list doesn’t contain all 4 tabs that means that either you do not have customers in any impacted pots, or you don’t have customers in that specific pot. Important: For Sage 200 MTD bridge, where we do not receive a response, we will assume our findings are correct in that a customer with Sage 200 2017.02 or higher no longer needs their Sage 200 MTD for VAT bridge and as such, we will cancel the MTD licence. Next steps We will continue to communicate with you as we go through this journey with you, this will include the options we’ll be progressing with for Live, Historical and Test & Recovery licences. Questions? Please speak to your Partner Account Manager in the first instance, or if the question is of a technical nature, please contact the Technical Support team. |
