Communication: Sage 200 MTD for VAT bridge changes
Description

This communication was sent 27th February 2025.

Notice 25-QW | 27 Feb 2025

Sage 200 MTD for VAT bridge

As a result of system changes, we will be migrating all Sage 200 Making Tax Digital (MTD) Bridge licences into our subscription system in March 2025.

The planned migration will be completed in bulk using a process to minimise impact to customers and partners. As a result, it will not change the customers’ Sage 200 MTD Bridge serial number or affect their use.

To complete the migration successfully, we need to make sure the current data is accurate. Our investigations show that some customers are still registered to use the Sage 200 MTD bridge when using Sage 200 version 2017.02 or higher, versions which include the in-product submission capabilities. If they need to submit multi-submissions, then a slightly different licence is required.

On Wednesday 05 March, you will receive a list of all customers who look to have an anomaly registration for Sage 200 MTD bridge. We require partners to mark the list accordingly to notify us of the required action, options are:

  • Cancel the Sage 200 MTD for VAT bridge – the customer uses the Sage 200 in-product submission capability.
  • Update the Sage 200 MTD for VAT bridge to allow for multiple submissions.
  • Cancel the Sage 200 MTD for VAT bridge –the customer is using the Sage MTD for VAT module.

We ask for you to let us know via reply no later than Wednesday 12 March.

For those partners invited to the discussion on 04 March regarding Sage 200 customers using older versions (V4-2011), you will receive both lists at the same time following the discussion.

Note: If you do not receive a list, you do not have any Sage 200 MTD Bridge customers where we require insight from you.

Important: Where we do not receive a response, we will assume our findings are correct in that a customer with Sage 200 2017.02 or higher no longer needs their Sage 200 MTD for VAT bridge and as such, we will cancel the MTD licence.
