Follow the steps below after you've updated records for the pay run you want to export using e-Banking. If you select employees who you've previously posted for this period, you receive a message advising you of this during the steps below. To post the payment details for these employees again, click Yes. Otherwise, click No and deselect the relevant employees, then click Post. - Process the payments for the pay run and Update Records.
- Select the relevant employees, then click Payroll.
- Select e-Banking, then OK.
- Check the values are correct.
- If you don't want to include any employees, de-select them.
- Select Post. then OK.
- If required, edit the File name and set your preferred file location.
- Select Save to create the file.
Depending on the e-Banking component you're using, the Payment Processing window may appear. If it does, ensure the debit date is correct, this is the date your bank uses to post the payment transactions. Make your selection from the available options, and enter the required references, then click OK. Next steps You've now created your payment file, and when you're ready you can upload it to your bank. Sage 50 Payroll can't upload this file to your bank. Don't open the payment file in Microsoft Excel. If you do, Excel may automatically reformat some fields causing the bank to reject it when you upload. Instead, ▼ open it with Microsoft Notepad. - Browse to the folder containing your payment file.
- Right-click the file, then select Open With.
- Select Notepad.
