| | Remove an analysis category |
| Description | If you clear the checkboxes on an analysis type to make it unavailable, Sage Accounting removes any categories already assigned to it.
To avoid losing data, we recommend you rename the category to something like "Don’t use" instead. |
| Resolution | To stop using an analysis category To make an analysis category inactive (recommended) - Go to Settings, then select Business settings.
- Under Financial Settings, select Analysis types.
- Locate the analysis type under Transaction Analysis or Group Analysis.
- Change the category Name to Don’t use.
- Select Save to finalise the changes.
Remove an analysis category from use - Go to Settings, then select Business settings.
- Under Financial Settings, select Analysis types.
- Locate the analysis type under Transaction Analysis or Group Analysis.
- Clear the checkboxes from the Active Areas for this Analysis Type section.
- Select Save to finalise the changes.
