Transaction analysis

Use this option to edit analysis types for transactions such as invoices and payments. The following analysis types are available, you can amend these if required.

Within each analysis type, you can create your own categories and choose where they’re available for specific transactions, these are the areas:

  • Sales invoices and credit notes
  • Purchase invoices and credit notes
  • Bank payment and receipts
  • Journals

When you’ve set up your analysis categories, you can use them for sales, purchases, and bank transactions—excluding journals.

Apply different analysis types onto invoice items, quick entries, and other payment and receipt ledger entries. You can’t do this for the bank, trade debtors, or creditors values in these transactions.
