Sage HR Essentials: What my employees will see
Description

As part of your Sage Payroll UK subscription, you have free access to Sage HR Essentials.

Once you integrate Sage Payroll with Sage HR Essentials, you can invite your employees to sign up.

 NOTE: You only need to invite employees to Sage HR if they are not already using Online Payslips.

If your employees don't have access yet, you can read our guide Sage HR Essentials: an employee’s guide or use the headings below.

▼To invite your employees to use Sage HR Essentials
  1. Select Employees from the menu bar
  2. Select Bulk actions.
  3. Select the employees you want to invite, then select Invite to Sage HR.
  4. Once the invitations are complete, you can select Close, or Go to Sage HR.

The Pay Document Preference in each employee record changes to Online.

 NOTE: You can only invite employees to Sage HR if they have a unique email address in their employee record 

▼Accepting the invite

Your employee will receive an email invitation to Sage HR. This contains the link to access their employee portal.

They need to select Accept invitation, then enter their details to create a Sage ID to log in to Sage HR.

What my employees will see

The employee can access Sage HR via sage.hr/signin or the Sage HR app. For more information, read Sage HR Essentials: How to access Sage HR Essentials.

Once logged in, the Dashboard view opens in Sage HR Essentials:

With Sage HR Essentials, your employees can:

View and download their payslips and P60s. Your employee receives an email each time a new payslip is available.

The employee can also:

  • Add emergency contact details
  • Upload documents
  • View their calendar and request time off
  • Update their personal details. This will update their record in both Sage HR Essentials and Sage Payroll
