Sage HR Essentials: How to access Sage HR Essentials

When Sage HR Essentials is set up there are different ways you can access Sage HR Essentials.

 NOTE: As an employee user, you can only log in once you have set up your access from your welcome email. If you haven't received a welcome email or it expired, you must contact your employer. Only they can send or resend a welcome email to you.

Access from Sage Payroll

When you're in Sage Payroll, you can access Sage HR Essentials from within your payroll software.

Click Sage Payroll on the top left, then click HR. This brings you to your Sage HR Essentials company.


Unique company Sage HR URL

Every Sage HR company has its own URL unique to them.

EXAMPLE: https://joebloggscoffeeshop.sage.hr/signin

As both an employee and admin user you can access Sage HR Essentials from your company's Sage HR URL. You can see this URL if you ever access Sage HR Essentials from within Sage Payroll. It also shows in a welcome email or payslip notification email to an employee.


Sage HR website

As both an employee and admin you can access Sage HR Essentials from the general Sage HR sign-in page.

Go to sage.hr/signin then log in with your Sage account details.


Sage HR app

A companion mobile app is available for employee users to log in to Sage HR Essentials on their phone.

 NOTE: The Sage HR app isn't designed to be used for admin or management purposes. To use Sage HR Essentials to manage employees, use Sage HR Essentials on a computer.
