Make unused bank accounts inactive
Description

You can prevent yourself or others from creating transactions for a bank account by making it inactive. This is useful for when you have bank accounts you no longer use.

Once set to inactive, we hide the bank account when you create transactions. Although it will still appear in reports.

Resolution
On the Banking page, you can switch between three tabs at the top right:
  • All accounts
  • Active accounts
  • Inactive accounts

A bank account can't be set to inactive if:


Set an account as inactive

To make a bank account inactive:

  1. From Banking, open the relevant bank account.
  2. Under Account Status, select Active.

  1. Set the status to Inactive.
  2. Save your changes.

The bank account will show as inactive on the banking list.


Remove the inactive flag

To make a bank account active again:

  1. Go to Banking and select the bank account.
  2. Go to Account Status and select Inactive.
  3. Set status to Active.
  4. Save your changes.
