Follow the steps to download and install v28. To use Sage 50 Accounts on multiple computers, just install it on each one by following the same steps.

Before you install

 NOTE: Refer to your local IT support if you need help with any of the checks. 

Check the steps in the prepare to install Sage 50 Accounts article before you get started.

Download and install 

 TIP: If you have more than one computer, install on the server or computer that holds your data first.  

1. Close all software, then click the link below:
   • Download Sage 50 Accounts
2. This automatically downloads to your downloads folder, or click Save.
3. To begin, locate and double-click Sage50Accounts_28.1.exe
   To view your Downloads folder, press Ctrl + J on your keyboard.
4. If prompted, click Yes to allow this app to make changes to your device.
5. Select the I accept the terms of the Licence Agreement check box and click Next.
6. Click the Standard (recommended) installation type and click Yes, begin installation.
7. Once complete, the software checks for any updates. If prompted click Install, then Yes, begin installation.

• If prompted to restart your computer, make sure you have any work saved, then click Restart now
• If not prompted to restart, to complete the install, click Close, then click Close

Add company data

• Create a new company and set it up from scratch. Only do this on the first computer if you're setting up Sage 50 on more than one computer
• Connect to existing company data
  

Final checks

In Sage 50 Accounts, click Help, then About, and check that your version number is v28.1.404.0.
